A custom project is anything that doesn't map cleanly onto a single standard category: a combination of repairs across several parts of the house, a one-off build that isn't a typical deck or fence, storm or water damage that touches multiple systems at once, or a renovation with an unusual scope you can't easily describe in a short form.
Rather than forcing you to guess which category to pick or answer a long list of questions that don't quite apply, the custom project path lets you describe the work in your own words and attach photos, so we can see exactly what you're dealing with.

On the estimate page, selecting Custom Project asks you to describe the work and upload photos. You receive a preliminary low / expected / high based on the assumptions shown with the price. A Contract Connect estimator verifies scope, measurements, and site conditions before a contract. The visit comes after you see the range.
Good photos make a real difference here. Wide shots that show the full area, close-ups of any damage or existing conditions, and a few sentences describing what you want done all help produce a more accurate first range before we confirm the details on-site.
