Terms of Service

Effective date: to be set at launch  •  Applies to mycontractconnect.net, the estimate tool, and the customer portal.

The short version. These terms cover using this website and its estimate tool. They are not your construction contract. Nothing on this site obligates you to hire us, and nothing on this site obligates us to perform work — that happens only when you and Contract Connect sign a written project agreement, and that signed agreement governs your project if it ever conflicts with this page.

1. Accepting these terms

By using this website, submitting an estimate request, requesting an in-home visit, or accessing a customer or contractor portal, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site — call us at (317) 528-0040 instead.

You must be at least 18 and, if you are requesting work, you must be the property owner or authorized to arrange work on the property.

2. Who we are and what we do

Contract Connect is a general contractor operating in the Indianapolis, Indiana metropolitan area. We contract directly with homeowners and we are responsible for the work we contract to perform. Some work is performed by our own personnel and some by trade partners we engage and manage; either way, your agreement is with Contract Connect. We are not a referral service, a marketplace, or a lead broker, and we do not sell your project to competing bidders.

Before a trade partner joins our network we require and verify current Indiana licensing where the trade requires it, general liability insurance, and workers' compensation where applicable, and we re-verify annually. That is a description of our vetting process. It is not a warranty or guarantee of any third party's conduct, and it does not make us liable for a trade partner's activity outside the work we engaged them to perform.

3. Using the site

You agree not to use the site to submit false or misleading information, submit content you do not have the right to submit, attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portal or account, interfere with the site's operation, or scrape or reuse our pricing, content or estimate output for a competing service.

Portal access tokens and login credentials are personal to you. Keep them confidential and tell us promptly if you think someone else has them.

4. Online estimates: what they are and are not

The estimate tool produces a real priced scope built from your photos, your answers, and current professional construction cost data for the Central Indiana market. It is more than a ballpark: every task carries a price. But it is produced without anyone inspecting the property, so:

We may decline to provide an estimate or to take on a project for any lawful reason, including that the property is outside our service area or the work is outside our scope.

5. The written price lock

We describe our pricing as “locked,” and here is exactly what that means. Once you and Contract Connect sign a written project agreement stating the scope and the price:

Standard permit fees required for your scope are included in your written price. Specialty permits and third-party review for unusual projects — variances, floodplain or historic-district review, and similar — are quoted separately once the jurisdiction's requirements are known. Delays caused by a permitting authority, an inspector's calendar, a utility, supplier backorders, weather, or matters otherwise outside our control may affect schedule; they do not by themselves change your locked price.

6. The project agreement

Your project is governed by the written agreement you sign, which sets out the scope of work, price, payment schedule, timeline, warranty, and the other terms Indiana law requires in a home improvement contract. If anything on this website conflicts with that signed agreement, the signed agreement controls. Read it before you sign it, keep a copy, and ask us about anything in it that is unclear.

7. Payment

Deposits, progress payments and final payment are set out in your project agreement. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we do not receive or store your full card number. Amounts remaining unpaid after their due date may accrue charges as stated in your agreement, and we may suspend work on an account that is past due. Refunds, if any, follow your project agreement.

8. Workmanship warranty

Projects we complete include a written workmanship warranty. The term and the covered scope for your project are stated in your estimate and project agreement before you sign — the duration varies with the type of work. Manufacturer warranties on materials and equipment are provided by the manufacturer and apply in addition to ours; we will pass those documents to you and help you make a claim, but we do not assume the manufacturer's obligations.

Our warranty does not cover normal wear, damage from misuse, neglect or deferred maintenance, work performed or altered by others after we finish, or failures caused by pre-existing conditions we disclosed to you. Warranty claims must be reported to us promptly so we can inspect before further damage occurs.

9. HomePassport plans

Your HomePassport record itself is free and carries no charge or commitment. A HomePassport plan is an optional paid subscription, separate from any project agreement. If you enroll in one:

10. Photos and content you submit

You keep ownership of the photos, documents and information you send us. You grant us permission to use them to estimate, plan, perform, document and warranty your work, and to keep them in your home's record as described in our Privacy Policy. As explained there, photos are transmitted to an artificial intelligence provider for analysis as part of producing your estimate.

You confirm you have the right to submit what you send, and that it does not infringe anyone's rights. Please photograph the work area rather than people. We will not use your photos in marketing or publish them publicly without your separate permission.

11. Our content

The site's text, design, estimate output format, and the Contract Connect name and logo belong to us. You may use the site to obtain an estimate and manage your project. You may not copy, republish or commercially reuse our content or estimate output, or use it to build or train a competing product or model.

12. Disclaimers

The website is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we do not promise that estimate figures, timelines, or informational content on service pages will be accurate for your specific property. Content on this site is general information, not professional advice about your home.

To the fullest extent Indiana law permits, and except for the written warranty in section 8 and any warranty in your signed project agreement, we disclaim implied warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, with respect to this website and its content.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent Indiana law permits, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, arising out of your use of this website or reliance on an online estimate. Our liability for your project is as set out in your signed project agreement.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for personal injury caused by our negligence, or any liability arising under Indiana's home improvement contract or consumer protection statutes.

14. Disputes and governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana. If you have a problem, call us first — most disputes are a scheduling or communication failure and we would rather fix it than argue about it. If we cannot resolve it, the courts located in Marion County, Indiana will have jurisdiction, unless your signed project agreement provides otherwise.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The effective date above will change and the revised version will be posted here. Changes do not alter a project agreement you have already signed.
